StartLogic began hosting websites in 2003. In March of this year, they hit the mark of having 50,000 web sites hosted and now have more than 70,000 customers. Thy are located in Phoenix, AZ.
StartLogic has a 99.9% uptime guarantee and a 30 day money back guarantee, so if they fall short of that promise, you can simply get your money back. The $15 domain fee is non-refundable though.
Their data center is located in Los Angeles, CA and they have an onsite management team in place to make sure your website is running smoothly. It's protected by 24/7 physical security and the data center uses HVAC temperature control systems, redundant power and UPS back-up to keep everything going.
It's pretty impressive if you get a chance to visit.

Once again, live support is critical and you get it with Startlogic. You can contact them via phone or email 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They also have live chat.
I was pretty impressed with how knowledgeable the staff was and they were also friendly and eager to help. Overall, the customer service lived up to their advertising.

The name of their control panel is VDECK 2.0. It's pretty simple to use. You'll be able to control your email, plugins, ecommerce features, website settings, web builder, marketing and reports from the control panel.
It comes with tutorials, walk throughs and a help center. You can take a look at the demo they have on the site to get a general feel of how it's going to be when you actually purchase.
Score - 9/10
Overall, I give StartLogic a B- and I do recommend them. I thought their servers were a little slow, but not enough to make it a huge problem. They have their act together and the hosting service is solid.
