Yahoo.com is of course one of the most visited sites on the internet because of their search portal. Back in 2002, they decided to leverage this popularity and begin a hosting division. It is quickly becoming a powerhouse in the hosting industry.
You'll pretty much get 99.9%+ uptime deliverability with Yahoo hosting and it's one of the most reliable hosting companies we've tested. They utilize their enormous resources well to ensure your website won't experience much downtime.

Their hosting packages are geared more to the beginner and they charge more because of the brand name. For the basic package, you'll get 5GB of disk space and 200GB of data transfer for $8.96 a month. Not too impressed with those numbers, but it'll be enough for most people looking for hosting.
You get 200 email addresses, a free domain name and site builder with your account. You also have support for advanced scripting tools like php, perl and MySQL. Your account also comes with Frontpage extensions.
You'll have to pony up more money if you need more disk space or data transfer. I think they could've offered a bit more in the entry level package for $8.96 a month.

24 hour toll-free phone support is there for the asking. If you need to talk to their sales staff, you'll have to do it during the weekdays, Mon-Fri, 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. Pacific time.
The customer support is generally helpful and ready to answer your questions when you call.

The control panel is simple to use and you shouldn't have any problems with it. The instructions are very clear and if there is anything that you can't figure out or you need help with, the staff is simply a phone call away and ready to walk you through it.

Overall, I give Yahoo Hosting a C+. I think they're charging a little bit more than they have to because of the name, but the solid reliability they offer should have you sleeping well at night knowing your website won't be down in the morning when you wake up.
